Hello! Happy Friday!
Today my blog post is going to be a "Flashback Friday" post. Since we are just now getting some warm weather here in Ohio, Emma and I haven't really had a chance to take many outside adventures! I thought it would be fun to look back at some adventures we had last year!
It's no lie that our favorite place to take adventures is The Cincinnati Zoo! My husband always jokes with me that he doesn't understand why we go there on a weekly basis. He says "It's the same animals EVERYTIME!" While he is right about that, each visit is unique and can be totally different! You just have to jazz it up a bit! Make it an adventure!
Last Summer, I remembered that there was a part of the Zoo that I hadn't been to in a long time. It was the Botanical Gardens. While it is kind of hidden behind the Elephants, it's totally worth a visit! That day, E was wearing her parrot mask and wing set and I had no idea that we would see an actual parrot out in the open in the botanical garden!
I LOVE putting E in a different mask and tail set each time we go to the Zoo because not only does she look extremely adorable, but it also helps her learn about each species! She gets so excited for Zoo trips! For Mother's Day last year, my amazing mom gifted me with an annual Zoo pass and we used it so much during the Summer! It's a perfect way to just get out of the house and get some fresh air and see some adorable animals! I hope that one day, Emma will see the importance of taking care of not only family pets, but also the importance of protecting the animals in the wild. Here are a few more pictures from our adventures at the Zoo last year!
This is probably one of my favorite pictures ever. E couldn't contain her excitement about feeding the giraffe!
I not only enjoy taking E to see the animals, but I also started to enjoy dabbing my toe into photography by taking some pictures of the animals. Here are a few of my favorites!
Being a Leo, I'm always so fascinated with the Lions. They are so strong, and one of the most beautiful animals(atleast to me) in the world.
The cheetahs are another favorite of mine.
And the lemurs are just to cute and are hilarious to watch!
Fun fact: Did you know that the Cincinnati Zoo is one of the oldest Zoos in the USA? That is the main reason why I love this Zoo. The architecture is amazing! and many of the original buildings are still there! Like this one and these!
The original Reptile Building.
The original Elephant Building.
Well, that wraps up another "Adventures" blog today! I hope you all enjoyed! Have a wonderful weekend!
