BEE Mask
With their delicious honey and useful beeswax, there is more than meets the eye when it comes to honey bees. They live in a social environment in their hives and are generally divided into three types. The workers are the ones that many of us see, they are all females, and they build and protect the hive. The queen is the center of everything in the hive, and they are responsible for spawning the hives next generation. She also can regulate the hives activities by producing chemicals that guide the behavior of the other bees. The third class, the males, also called drones, live in the hive in the spring and summer but are expelled during the winter months. During the winter the bees live on stored honey and pollen and cluster into a ball to conserve warmth.
